Hi, I’m Julio Barrios—a Lead Product Designer based in Charlotte, NC, currently driving design for home services at Lowe’s Home Improvement.

I specialize in shaping end-to-end omnichannel experiences that connect digital and physical touchpoints across the customer journey. My work focuses on home services, where I design for a complex ecosystem of customers, installers, and store associates—aligning their needs to create seamless, reliable experiences from inspiration through installation.

With over 7 years of experience, I’ve evolved from a visual design foundation into a product leader who partners closely with cross-functional teams to define strategy, influence roadmaps, and deliver solutions that balance user needs with business goals. My work has contributed to sustained improvements in installation LTR, increasing overall scores from 74% in 2024 to 80% in 2025 and 82% in 2026—reflecting a continued focus on reducing friction and improving end-to-end service quality.

I’m particularly focused on simplifying complex service journeys, reducing friction in high-impact moments, and ensuring consistency across channels.

My background in art continues to shape how I approach design—bringing a strong visual perspective while grounding my work in clarity, structure, and usability. I believe the best experiences don’t just work well—they build trust, empower people, and make complex processes feel intuitive.

Outside of work, I stay connected to my creative roots through drawing and painting, and I often find inspiration through travel and visits to art museums.
